Filing Claims
If you've had an accident or otherwise suffered injury within the City of Watertown limits, and on City owned property and want to submit a claim to be compensated, you need to follow these steps:
Write a letter addressed to either the Clerk or City Council and mail it to:

Include the following with your letter:
Your contact information such as address, and phone
location of the incident
date it occurred
time it occurred
any witnesses
copies of any medical or auto bill
Next, wait for the Board of Audit to meet. The City Manager's Office will notify you if the claim is to be accepted.
